Unexpected Gas meter credit...

I topped up my gas card £10 as my gas meter was in emergency credit. To my surprise, when I loaded the credit from the card, a new meter balance shows £1835.

I've had no correspondence from the supplier regarding this and am wondering what is going on (although I am not complaining...)

Any ideas ? Thanks in advance for any replies...

you sure its not debt, p.s it will catch up so if it is showing a credit I would let them know as wont take long for them to catchup
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • Has your meter been read recently. I got a massive credit when they came to read my meter and realised they had been billing in imperial but the meter is metric (or is it the other way round? Can't remember) anyway they didn't write me a letter or anything I just went to pay a bill and found my account was about £800 in credit. I worked out that they'd owe the person who had lived there before me about 3k as it was incorrect from the date the meter had been installed but we couldn't trace her to let her know.

Give them a ring you might be lucky it could be something like that.
  • The ball is in your court now bigjav. I ve seen a gas prepay with £23,000 credit on it due to a software fault. Faults like this you are obliged to inform the supplier. Credit is displayed after first press, standing charge debt is also on this first screen but debt is on screen 26
