The FITS payment offered is relatively generous, and more than the goverment set level. However their prices are pegged to the local supplier's Standard tariff,…

If the scottish power put their rates up in august, does this mean their fixed deals will go up and be MORE expensive than the variable deals in august?

Tariffs in a years time, fixing till 2012
What do you think the market will look like in a year? Having just spent the past two days diligently looking through all the fixed deals on offer and having pretty much decided to go with the EDF 2014 I discover how much I owe NPower, £179 as my DDs were too low. So now I'm going to switch to their fix, increase my DDs…

Which is cheaper to boil water, electric or gas?
Sorry if this isn't the correct forum. The kettle has just died so I'm looking around for a replacement one then it occurred to me, is an electric kettle more efficient than a old fashioned gas one on the hob? Does anyone know or isn't there much in it? I am at home all day so do drink a fair amount of herbal tea!

It's taken my provider 4 months to sort this out, during which time I have not stopped paying my monthly direct…
