EDF fixed saver 2 V`s fixed 2014!!
Im currently on SP 12, which is going up 39%. Im a low user, 9400 and 4500kwh.
Im torn between these two. Both EDF. The 2014 option is "£50 cheaper than my SP12 and the sept 2012 is £150 cheaper. (ive got to take the £50 cancel fee aswell off these figures.
Any one else looking at these two..
I also noticed SP variable 14 is coming in £180 cheaper than what im on at the moment. (will there be any more increases is the big question.)
Im using moneysupermarket as this site has the adjusted SP tariffs!
any thoughts

Hi there
If you haven't yet switched.....
I am in a similar position, currently on SP 13 and also a low user. I have been weighing up whether to go on SP14 or switch to one of the EDF fixes.
I have ended up going for the EDF fixed saver 2 (sep 2012). Although the 2014 was only about £50 more expensive (~7%) I am a serial switcher and always look for a cashback deal (when I switched to SP in april I got £80 CB from topcashback). Therefore factoring in this it is better for me to switch more often. Even switching to EDF now will net me £30 via moneysupermarket.com.
Overall if you dont mind switching and are able to grab cashback deals I would go for the shorter fix. I wouldnt go on SP14, because they could put the prices up for this tariff at any point.
BTW, you dont need to pay the cancellation fees for SP12, just call them up and tell them you are leaving because of the price increase and your right to cancel. They will waive the fee, so long as your new supplier has contacted them within 15 working days. This is something they do not advertise obviously!
