query re. moneysupermarket cashback
I've just switched today from Eon Saveonline 3 to EDF Fixed 2014 using the mse link to moneysupermarket. It's a gamble at 24% rise but figure I can use 10 days of the cooling off period to find out more and the consensus seemed to be it could be pulled pdq! I've had the email from moneysupermarket but nothing on it…

EDF Fixed 2014 or SP Capped 2013
I'm currently on Eon Fixonline 8, ending 1st July. I am looking for a fixed or capped to move to, and have narrowed it down to EDF Fixed till 2014 and Scottish Power Capped 2013. For my consumption the price of these two products is nearly identical, £1153 v £1155 per year. The EDF is fixed till 31.03.14, but you're only…

3 yr fixes. What happens on death?
Not that it would be the uppermost issue in peoples minds at the time - but out of curiosity, does the exit fee cease to apply on say a 3yr tarrif if the householder dies? Didnt see it mentioned when I trawled through EDF's 2014 one.

Southern Electric
Hey, I'm new to the site so go easy on me. I'm current with Southern Electric for Gas & Electricity, on the Go Direct 5 product. My annual consumption of 17,000 kWh for gas and an annual consumption of 2,700 kWh for electricity. It's a large house. I'm quite worried about the increasing prices so I decided to do some…

MASSIVE consumption - meter issues!?
Hey all, Myself and my flatmate have recently had some extremely high electricity bills. We live in a 2 bedroom, top floor flat with electric heaters and a Grasslin QE7+ water heater. We haven't had our heaters on (at all!) for a few months and only ever use the water heater to heat enough water to do the washing up (we…

I am lost between British Gas and EON
In end of march i received a letter from EON telling me that they were sorry that i was leaving them. I was using EON for both electricity and gas. Since i had no plans of moving to another provider i gave EON a call to find out what was going on. They told that i was moving to British Gas for both electricity and gas. So…

This doesn't make sense - Help with Gas/Electricity!
Grrr, wish I'd never looked into Martin's newsletter telling me to fix as I've read all through the ramblings on there and can't make any head or tail of the my bill especially my electric bill as it doesn't make sense - if someone could explain this to me, I'd be grateful, it would then help me compare the options and try…

Crazy Electricity Bill
About 4 months ago I was presented with my electricity bill for £1500. I live in a 1 bed flat that has no central heating other than electric heaters and an emersion tank. The £1500 is for 3 months over the winter period. My Land lady deals with paying the bills for the properties and takes meter readings to work out how…

Switchng to capped tariffs
Martn is pratically beseeching us to switch to avoid the inevitable price increases but I've found it impossible to find a reasonably priced capped tariff. The best, actually least worst, tariff is 24% more expensive. Even with the swingeing increases started by Scottish this week (averaging 15% for dual fuel) is it worth…

Question for E.ON representative - Fix Online 8
Our deal with E.ON is coming to an end (1st July). Loking to switch now but concious that if switch happens before 1st July, we have to pay cancellation fee. I'd assume that a switch would take around a month but to be on the safe side, should we wait another week or so before I start the process of moving to another…

All electric place, high usage?
We live in a 1 bed place of simular size to our last place but this place is all electic unlike our last place that had gas for the hob, hot water and heating. At our last place we were averaging around 5 units a day, maybe 6 in winter, which we didn't think was that bad. Well we did a reading yesterday and then today at…

E.ON EnergyOnline dual fuel Vs EDF Fixed Price 2014 Dual Fue
