Anyone else on comfort plus heating with Scottish Power and have you been able to change supplier - I keep getting told that Scottish Power have the monopoly for this heating system and that I cannot change - is this right?

Most suppliers cannot bill your type of meter so would ask you to move to economy 7 which would lose you the daytime cheap rate. I believe there is only 1 other company that supports this but can't remember which one. I am sure someone else will have the answer.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0

I am on this but I can't change due to it being in my tennancy agreement.
In my flat, the 2 smallest heaters (one in the hallway and one in hte kitchen) are the only ones connected to the second meter. in the middle of winter, I had to pay top dollar to keep warm so I invested in a couple of oversize jumpers to wear and chill out in.
From what I was told, there was only SP that have this. I don't know if any other supplier supports it.0 -

Essentially yes.
Actually there is no monopoly, it's just that other suppliers are not prepared to support this tariff (and I guess SP wouldn't except they are forced to)
Attempts to switch (without detailed knowledge and approppriate changes) often end in tears."Now to trolling as a concept. ....
