Anyone not fixing?

Millions. Remember that something like 80% of the population are not even on discounted tariffs and remain on Standard. Not everyone is MSE-savvy.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Conscious decision by me not to fix.
Either the fixed term is too short or the premium to fix is too high.
It's ironic that SP set the ball rolling with it's massive hike and yet their new online 'direct' product is currently the cheapest on the market and not much more expensive than EDf's OS7 which has done well for those that signed up before Christmas.0 -
Being one of the 80% of the population on standard variable these past few years with no overpayment charges have seen me overpay 1000's and I'll have fully paid off Mortgage in 6-9 months. 14 Years early ;-)0

What's your mortgage got to do with utility charges? (fixed or variable ) :think:0 -
I'm not fixing. I fixed after Martin's last suggestion and throughout there were lots of online deals that would have worked out cheaper than fixing. I think those of us who are savvy enough to monitor what's going on are pretty likely to be better off doing things this way instead.0

I think viper is saying that a fix on any product can lock you in to paying over the odds sometimes.
This is what I'm thinking could happen if I fix my fuel now.
Then again fuel prices could spiral, who knows?0 -
And I think Viper thinks this is the Mortgages board...No free lunch, and no free laptop

I am not fixing, as a lowish user the terms often seem onerous and TBH I can afford price increases anyway, may not be MSE but certainly with my meansNumerus non sum0

Am not fixing either, also a low user, will wait for a decent cashback or maybe go for a simple No Standing Charge tariff.0

No fix here. Currently moved onto SP's new customers only on line energy product. Only pay £53 pm for gas and electric.
Keep cutting consumption. That which is managed improves..!Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
