New electricity meter and leaving Eon

I have had a letter saying that my electricity meter will be changed on Monday.

I am currently with Eon on fixonline8 ending on 1st July, will this not cause any problems with my bills as I will be leaving Eon on the 1st July unless they come up with a better tariff for me, I will be going with SG on websaver 12.

Should I give them a final meter reading of the meter that is being replaced on Monday?

they will get the old reading from the distribution, although make sure its written down on the removal card by your meter.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

I wonder what type I will get, a smart meter perhaps?

    Hydro Electric are changing it.

My present one is 20 years old.

Not yet. It'll just be a digital meter.

Yep mine is booked in too - 18 years old via Scottish power.

I leave Eon as well but should be prior to the meter switch.

Might be worth doing a reading this weekend, submitting it and asking for a bill, online.

A least you know billing will be right up to date leaving only a couple of weeks to sort out if there are problems.

I did one when I decided to switch and will do another one the week before 1/7 to minimise any loss of discount.

I couldn't give a monkey about a smart meter will do nothing for me personally.

Wonder how long it will be before they are billing us weekly with them, one step closer to prepayment for everyone. ;)
