Self Debt Management!
Hi Guys, I just wanted to post my positive experience. Still in debt, (£10,300) but I am now repaying! Wohooo! Basically I got my head out the sand and rang each creditir myself. I have plans with each and repay a slightly lower amount, but without interest! SO my debt is coming down and I'll get no defaults registered.…

Keep the account or close it?
I'm trying to clear up my credit profile and was wondering, when you've cleared an account, is it better to keep it open with a zero balance or close it down? Which one would make your credit profile look better, or doesn't it matter?

Has anyone else done this and what sort of response have they had from creditors? Anyone have any templates that…

Debt Collectors pursuing innocent people
I came to this website for help with a debt agency that was bothering me because I had the same name as somebody in debt. They went away eventually but now they're back with another bogus claim! This time they've found my phone number and have started harassing me by phone too. They demand that I give them personal details…

Paying off one debt but leaving other debts "going"
Is this practice general frowned upon? I may be in a position to pay one of my creditors off early next year (around £350). If I paid this one off, would it be frowned upon? Im not in a DMP etc, I'm managing my own debts. Thanks.
