old mbna cc debt, is it enforceable?
My friend had a business from oct 1999 to oct 2001. The buyer refused to pay for the stock after purchase. He was left with a few debts, some direct to suppliers some on credit cards. Due to moving around with work his paperwork filing was less than efficient. He has no record of this account and no correspondence. Just…

Could your debt problems have been avoided?
I fell into a hole when I lost my job and couldn't get work for a while. But there's always the risk of that happening when you don't live within your means, and you have to factor in things like changes of circumstances when you're whacking things on the plastic! So mine could have been avoided, definitely.

How Can You Tell A Fake.......
......Burberry bag please? My cousin gave it to my mum who in turn has given it to me (hope you are all keeping up!!!). I do not want or like this bag, so was thinking of putting it on e-bay to help with my debts, but not sure if it is fake or not. My cousin is loaded so for her it wouldn't be unusual to have…

Does anyone know or had any experience of raising around £10k by means other than their full time wages? Perhaps in two years or less? I know this may be quite a challenge. I've so far this year made around an £80 profit through selling some old uni books on Amazon and I plan to sort my stuff out and put things I don't…

paying money back advice???
Whats that thingy called where you make them an offer to make a payment on your credit card bill. Then in turn your account is closed. Does it effect your credit rating? Has anyone done it? Any advice would be great. We're selling our house and we would have the money to pay off all our credit cards but obviously if we…

pay off all debts or try to save a bit too?
As most of my debts defaulted a few years ago, the interest option isn't there as it's just the capital owed that is being repaid, so I'm not losing out in that sense by having to pay more on top through interest over a longer period. But what sort of approach do you have, best to keep a fair bit aside for emergencies and…

Breaking-up and in debt.....
Hello all. Sorry if this is in the wrong place but as I'm in a bit of a state, well a lot of a state if truth be known, hopefully, you'll bear with me. After 16 years, my wife told me last week that she is leaving me. It's a complete bombshell and nothing I say has any effect, She just keeps saying that she wants to go her…

What does a Default Notice Look Like?
