opening a new account

I have posted a few times over the last couple of days about me contacting CCCS and dealing with my debt i am going to do a DMP with them everyone has been really supporative thankyou.

I have not included one of my debts in this plan because firstly it is a loan which is with the same company as my morgage also the loan is in both mine and my husband name the DMP will just be for me ,all my debts (my husband is more sensible than me ).The amount i pay for this loan is only £50 per month with just over a year to go .Will this be ok to not include it ? should i have told CCCS about this ?

I have to go and open my new bank account this week ,the new bank are saying i can take a statement in to them when i go and they will transfer all my DD for me there & then.Other than the morgage and a few insurances most of the DD i will be cancelling but what do i tell my new bank i do not want them to know i am opening an account because i am doing a runner so to speak from my old bank .

I am not sure that you have to tell them anything except to give them instructions about payments that they will take or things like standing orders that you need to cancel that come from that account but I am not sure. Do you have any duties to your bank on your account (eg at least £1000 a month paid in or somethign like that) you might have to speak to them about breaking the terms if you do.

wrt the loan, I think that you have to tell cccs everything as this is what they will base negotiations with lenders on and as any arrangements that are set up are based on proportionate payments this might cause a problem. It might not be but it is worth checking with them.

    And a bump
