NO WONDER I'M FAT - lightbulb moment
Hi guys, just had bank statements and on a massive downer. Have overspent (as usual) and (as usual) the culprit is FOOD. I've cut down our normal food bill through meal plans, buying some value etc - although tbh its still too high. But the MASSIVE killer is eating out. I was slightly disgusted to read that we've eaten out…

Best way to clear overdraft - sorry if this seems like a daft question!
Ok my target by the end of the year is to clear our overdraft. We have a £1100 overdraft limit, and as of today we are £606.22 overdrawn. The overdraft is a debt that we have never included in our debt total because we have basically lived in it for the past 4 years, so have seen it is as our money. I am rubbish with…

Hi all This is my first time on this forum, I usually frequent old style. But I think I could do with a bit of a kick up the bum. Finally, i've done it!!
Firstly, hello to everyone. I guess we're all here for similar reasons. This site is a brilliant idea, and gives people who've kept their poor finances private the chance to discuss the cause and solution without shame and the fear of judgement. So, my story and the subject heading. I've grabbed a firm grip on my current…

A Qu. about Council Tax and Water Bills.
Evening all, I often see people recommended to ask about paying their council tax and water rates over 12 months instead of the 10/8 months that seems to be standard and I was wondering if anyone was actually doing this? Because my council and water authority both told me a big fat "no" when I asked about this, which I…

Starting afresh.......
I posted here back in May and got some fantastic advice and starting tackling the debt. I visited here obsessively every day and then found that I was just spending too much time on here and home/work life was suffering too much.
