Clearing debt to improve credit score
Hi I have £1500 of debt which is filed on Experian as defaulted accounts, if I were to pay these off would my credit score improve instantly or would I need to wait until the "6 years" is up? Thanks all, trying to improve my credit score.

When will my dfaulted debt be wiped from my credit file
I have a debt which was I defaulted on in Jan 2014. Will that debt be wiped off 6 years from that date? So it will be wiped off on Jan 2020? Or is it only wiped form your file from the date the debt was actually paid off? So say I paid it today, it will take another 6 years to be wiped off? I live in England.
