Fraudulent credit applications
Hi there, I've recently (Friday) been the victim of credit card fraud - which has been thankfully caught by the card company. I thought that was all there was to it until I got a pin number through for a credit card I didn't order. I rang that company and they will get back to me once their fraud department opens tomorrow.…

Barclaycard Platinum 0% int 25 months, 0% fee.
Hi Just a quick note to warn others about applying for this card. My husband applied for this card, as we have another credit card due to finish its 0% interest soon and for just over £1500 debt, we thought this would be a good choice. Plus it also has 6 months 0% spending. We only have our current credit card to give us…

CCJ/Defaults - discuss?
I'm just curious, i've had CCJ myself which stayed on my record for 6 years and i've recently escaped one that hadn't i noticed last minute going onto my credit report i'd be back in the 6 year cycle. However... my question really is; is 6 years just too long? I found my very first experience at a young age punishing, i…

CCJ/Default after 6 years is up
Good morning :) I currently have three CCJs/defaults on my credit file. One is due to reach its 6 year anniversary in a few months time. The balance won't be paid by then (I am still making the agreed monthly payments, and obviously will do until the balance is cleared) so will it be re-registered and the 6 years…

Creditexpert subscription rising 50%!
I've had a Creditexpert subscription for several years, but I've just received an email saying that as of next month it's rising from £9.99 a month to £14.99! I do find the credit search notifications and the anti fraud features useful, but a massive rise like this sticks in the craw. What are others thoughts? I assume…

Loan no longer updating on my credit file...
I took out a loan with MoneyWay back in 2014 back at a time where I couldn't get credit. Since then, I've lived with my choice and have always made the repayments. I got a letter from them earlier this year to say that my loan would be moving across to Alpha Credit Solutions 8 and nothing would change. Fine I thought. My…
