ive asked on the house buying board and two lovely people took the time to answer, but I wondered if I might get a more in depth response if this is the more appropriate place?
I'm selling my house. my buyer has hit a snag with their address on their credit file, so mortgage turned down. They live in flat 2 50 somewhere street, but for some reason at the post office/royal mail they were down as flat B 50 somewhere street, so had to have that corrected. this came to light 3 and a half weeks ago, and they have had it corrected, they told me that that part was complete about a week ago, and are now just waiting for their credit file to update. how long realistically should it be till they can apply for a mortgage again. my EA said not to worry it would only be a week or two and they definitely don't have any actual credit/borrowing issues, but its already nearly a month. I don't mind hanging on for them, the people I'm buying from aren't in a rush so its not the end of the world, but I don't want to hang on for a couple of months and then find I have to put it back up for sale again. Anyone gone through this and know what's what?
thanks

Noddle now update every 7 days, the others update monthly.
But, It all depends on how fast the info they receive is updated.
