Hi
When a company sells the debt to another company (legally assigned) should the balance on the account be zero'd on the credit file.
I noticed on mine it was Zero'd down when it was sold (after defaulted etc)
But two others have not been and the balance is still showing
Which is correct?

If the account is marked as settled or satisfied then it's correct and matters not0

Gary if this is not the case then should it be challenged ,?0

Do you still owe money on the two accounts that don't show zero? And are you saying they are not marked as 'settled' or 'satisfied'?I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
