I've had a Creditexpert subscription for several years, but I've just received an email saying that as of next month it's rising from £9.99 a month to £14.99!
I do find the credit search notifications and the anti fraud features useful, but a massive rise like this sticks in the craw. What are others thoughts? I assume many others have had a similar email?

I get my Experian report for free every month via MSE Credit Club. You don't get the automated alerts, but you can check everything manually for accuracy or signs of fraud, so it's not a problem.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

Cant you use one of the free providers such as noddle or clearscore. I use them both and when I have checked this against a paid ne such as experian there is no difference in the information.0

I guess each person is different but from my experience there isn't.
I use noddle, and creditexpert, and get free equifax due to their security issues that had earlier this year and apart from slight differences in the reported amounts on credit card which i guess is due to the times of the month they report, no differenced between these three.0 -
Received this letter this morning. Experian pointed out the benefits of staying with them but said, if I wanted to cancel my membership, I could log on and do it, which I did.
I actually went on to online banking to cancel the dd as well, then realised that they use a CPA, so I'll have to rely on them to cancel the payment.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0 -

Write to them to cancel the CPA, and also inform your bank that you have written to the company to stop the CPA and instruct them to ensure that no further payments are to be taken. They are obliged to do this as your have withdrawn authorisation for the transaction(s).

Some providers only report to certain agencies, so it is best to check all three. For example my PayPal credit is only reported to equifax and callcredit, not experian.0
