Credit limit
I've just applied for a card with Tesco. It's mainly as a back up, and is MasterCard, as opposed to Visa. I've only ever had one card, HSBC, and it probably gets used once or twice a year. The limit on the new card has been set at £8,300. I wasn't asked what sort of limit I wanted. £1,000 or even £500 would be fine. Can I…

NatWest BT card - payment order of transfers - latest transfer not first to end
Checking my statement, I noticed at the weekend that NatWest have been allocating my payments to the more recent BT I did (12 months 0%) that ends in September 2022, rather than the initial transfer I did that ends in June 2022 (20 months 0%). Thus I would have ended up paying interest on that balance and means I need to…

Changing credit cards - advice re existing card credit limit and balance transfer

Credit card posting and balance
I've stupidly gone over my credit limit on my Virgin Money 0% purchase card. Having looked at the terms it seems they only withdraw the introductory offer for late/missed payments. Jaja - unsolicated email
Hello, As per the title. I've just received an email from JaJa stating that I should register for an app to take control of my credit card. I don't have a credit card with them. However, the 'scary' thing is that the email addresses me by my first name - which is not part of my email and that I only use for offical…

Amex Rewards - PayPal Friends & Family transactions?
OH has just taken out an Amex Rewards credit card and was approved with a generous limit. Our typical joint day to day expenditure totals about £7,500 per year (fuel, groceries, other amenities) so it's going to be quite slow going building up rewards, but it's better than a kick in the teeth. What other methods have…
