Is it okay to spend on a Balance Transfer card first?
Hope I don't sound stupid but have got a Balance Transfer card on the way and was thinking of spending on it first just to use the chip & pin. It would activate the contactless feature instead of waiting 20 months. Pay that off and then transfer a balance the next month to take advantage of the 0% rate.

Electrician has added £20 charge for paying by credit card
Hello, I recently had some work done by an electrician. Now that I've received the invoice they say I can pay by bank transfer (free) or pay by credit card with a charge of approximately £20. I thought it was now against the law to charge a fee on card payments? I asked them about this and they said it was their payment…

Refunded by CC AFTER being eventually refunded by business...
Quick question on what to do here. 3 months ago I did a Chargeback for a holiday that a Travel Agent was refusing to refund (I gave the TA 8 weeks to refund before I raised a chargeback). Credit Card company was pretty unresponsive so I continued to persue the TA and eventually got my money back a month ago - still no word…

However since then the agent has finally…

DD, how far in advance is it "set in stone". Tesco CC?
If my next DD is due to go on the 6th September, minimum payment (0%), at what point would a payment stop the DD being made? Paperwork states a payment before the due date "may" amend the DD. I just wondered what the timescales are? Anyone know? Is it generic to the DD system or does it differ between providers? I want to…
