Marbles money transfer

I have been trying to use the money transfer offer from marbles in order to pay off a loan. Every time i try to transfer to my Bank of Scotland account it fails. Spoke to marbles last week & was told that my address on both accounts must match exactly re format . I have changed & checked that everything is identical to no avail. The “ transunion” system marbles use just does not verify my bank account. Its a uk account in my name so none of the suggested issuse apply. Can anyone here advise if they’ve had the same problem & been able to sort it out ?

  • No, just a number. Initially one account didnt include area of the city for example & postcode in slightly different formats, but all amended to match now. I've even looked at the spacing of lines in the address eg one account may have a spare line between lines of text, but they are both auto filled from post code so not like i can type them in myself to be sure.

    Do you have another account you can transfer to, then transfer from there to pay off the loan?
  • No, has to be a current account. Only others i have are savings accounts. I'll give them another call & see if they can do anything

    The OP says in original post that Marbles are wanting the address on the bank account to match those held by transunion. They go on to say they at first didn’t match but have now been updated to match. However, I think it can take 4-6 weeks for any changes you make regarding your bank account to be passed on to credit reference agencies. Therefore, could the issue just be a time lag as BoS have not yet provided updated file to transunion? 
  • That's possible. I spoke to Marbles again yesterday & the guy i got tried my bank details on their system & said they " passed the test" as correct & suggested trying again with a lower amount that's not near my card limit. If this doesn't work i do have contact details for Transunion so i can ask them. Its for an offer that only runs until the end of this month so we'll see. Thanks
  • I had exactly the same problem with Fluid which is from the same stable as Marbles, in the end I gave up trying for the cash offer and opted for a balance transfer to another credit card instead.
