VISA chargeback AND a refund...
Hi I bought a jacket online on what turned out to be a very dodgy site. The jacket didn't arrive, the tracking number was wrong, and then two refunds didn't go through. I gave up with the company after loads of contact with them and broken promises to refund my money, so started a VISA chargeback with Nationwide. I checked…

MBNA (AA) credit card sleight of hand
A while back I took out an AA credit card, made a single purchase and really didn't pay much attention to it, and just made random payments off my balance on the assumption that it would cover it more or less. (I don't normally manage my finances like that - it was just this particular card, so please don't flame me.) Some…

MBNA cards - a warning
Just to let everyone know who uses their 0% cards, MBNA ruthlessly applies its T&C and will use the rules to charge a hefty interest fee, should you, for instance, be late with a payment for whatever reason. On the rare occasion in the past this glitch has happened to me, the issuer has been flexible. Not MBNA.

Holiday Payment
I recently booked a cruise holiday for October this year but I have realised that by paying the £500 deposit by Debit Card and not Credit Card (as there was a 2.5% fee to use the Credit Card) that we do not have the same level of cover if Cruise Line or Travel Agent goes broke. We have to pay the final installment of £3200…

Asda/Santander and Section 75
I have had a floor installed [by a local supplier] and it is unsatisfactory. CCard vs Loan Pay Off
Any advice on whether I should be settling either (a) a ccard balance of about £8k which was on a 0% transfer deal which ends 30/5 or (b) a loan which has quite a while to run but could be cleared for less than £10k? I was planning to ccard transfer again if I was accepted ... but now I wondering if it's the best thing to…

What does the term "payment due by"?
I have a Yorks visa card and when I go to the York bank and pay the credit card payment by cash it is credited to my credit card account straightaway. If my credit card statement says payment due by 11th of month does that mean I can still pay my credit card ON the 11th as it credited straightaway if I pay into a Yorkshire…

BoS credit card default
Hi, I got into trouble in 2003 when I defaulted on my debts, and arranged to repay an amount monthly for all of them. All were fine with me, and stopped interest and charges, except for BoS to whom I owed £900 on a credit card at that time. They accepted my monthly payments, but continued to add interest plus a 'late…
