What if i go into credit on my card?
I have a limited time offer of 6.9% for the life of the balance on my barclaycard platinum. I want to transfer £1100 from nationwide credit to barclaycard on this deal. I currently only have £750 outstanding on my nationwide credit, so if I went £350 in credit on nationwide card could I be penalized? I have googled this…

Hi everyone, This is my first post on this forum and I would appreciate a little advice. We have just been sent an offer from Tesco to apply for their credit card. Pay off loan with credit card - Would it be a 'Purchase'?
I have had a Barclay loan for the past 4 years but I still have another year and a half to go (I would be finished this January but added extra time by refinancing to get some more money about 1.5 years into my loan). My loan is about 23% APR and although I can afford the repayments still, the interest keeps bothering me…

Vanquis account in credit, cash advance.
Hoping someone here knows the answer to this. My vanquis account was in credit by roughly £100 and yesterday I withdrew about £50 in cash on the card (debit card is lost, bank was closed, only real option) now, I would assume that as the account is in credit, they can not charge me intrest on this cash advance as it is…

Paypass Error
I have used my card several times today. Two of them were paypass transactions and went through fine. I then went to a Cafe and it instantly said Authorisation failed. I did a Chip and Pin transaction in the Cafe just fine. Is this a common occurrence?

Confused Egg/Barclaycard
Hi guys, I'm really confused and hope somebody could offer me some insight. I had an egg account, which I was not maintaining due to my level of indebtedness. How long to wait till applying?
Hi all! I have just 'upgraded' my main Halifax bank account. I used to have a simple 'Card Cash' account which I have had since I was young, and I don't think it was doing much for me, so I have now upgraded to a Reward Current Account. I wanted to also apply for an overdraft and credit card in order to start building up…

Barclaycard 22 month low transfer credit card problems
I have just applied for this card as it seemed like the very best deal to get me out of an imminent change from 0%. However, all is not as it seems because I tried to transfer £3000 which would qualify for the 1.6% rate only to find that they set my credit limit at £1200 and because I exceeded it all promotional offers are…

Interest charges - Quick Question
Websites always encourage you to pay off your balance in full before your next statement to avoid paying interest However, how is that possible if interest is being calculated on a daily basis?.. Surely if say I had £1000 on my card for the whole month, and paid it off the day before my next statement, I would still be…

Delay in online payments!
We are told to ditch cheques and use e-banking so why does it take up to 4 business days for me to pay my credit card bill from my current account when its with the same company? a cheque takes 3 days to clear. Will e-banking ever be quicker? it should be instant or at least 1 day max. .

Credit Card Payments and FPS
I have just been reading about the Faster Payments Service and used their sort code checker to check if my card providers accepted faster payments. It turns out Capital One and Aqua both accept faster payments, I usually pay both of these using their payment systems online, which takes 2 to 3 days for the payment to be…

Credit Card Refunds - Time Delay
Purchases via credit cards are debited to customer's accounts immediately (even if they are shown as pending) and, where applicable, interest is charged from the date of the transaction (same day). Refunds however are not credited to the credit card on the same day. These typically can take between 3 and 5 working days!…

Credit Card, suspicious txn
Here's an odd one. I logged in to my credit card online banking site at lunchtime from the work and noticed that there was a payment made to my card of ~£5000 leaving me with a balance of almost -£4900. This was followed two days later by a CHAPS transfer back out, to exactly the value to leave the balance at £0.00. I…
