Tesco credit card - car purchase

Hi everyone,

This is my first post on this forum and I would appreciate a little advice. We have just been sent an offer from Tesco to apply for their credit card. They are offering 15 months interest free credit. I've read through the small print but cannot find the answer to my query.
We were looking to change our car next year and were wondering if we could use the card (obviously depending on what our credit limit is) to put towards the purchase.

Can anyone advise

if you use the card to buy car the garage will charge about 2-3% fee for using credit card

There are better cards on the market. Virgin is offering 20 months free. And you can "balance transfer" the funds to your bank to pay for the car.

You are basically balancing the value of the Clubcard points and the interest free credit against the loading charge the garage will apply.

Last car I paid for they allowed a £2k deposit without loading. But above this they added 2.5%.
