Withdrawing cash from an ATM using a credit card
Hi all, I just wondered if anyone could clarify something for me. Credit card solely for flight purchase
I have never used a credit card. However, I can see the advantage of buying flights with a credit card, as I believe you are better protected if the airline goes bust. Not knowing much about this, what are the issues I should consider in choosing a card that I might only use once or twice a year for such purposes? Ta.

Money back or 'reward' card?
My Barclays mastercard pays out 0.5% on purchases, which I believe is 50p in £100. Tesco pay 25p in every £100, so half of what I get on my moneyback credit card. Does anyone know of any better offers out there, for people who pay off their balance every month?

2011 will be my year for paying off my card debt. How do I find out which card has the highest rate so I can pay that off first. Some of my statements don't seem to have this info and others display it in a monthly rate whilst some display it in an annual rate - help!!

Why do fraudsters use "tester" amounts?
When fraudsters get a card number, I've heard that they put a small transaction through to test that the card is live. I.e., perhaps they'll put £1.50 on I-tunes or some other such site. If this works, they will then go for the much larger amounts. Thing is, why don't they just go for larger amounts anyway? If it works, it…

One-time use credit card number?
Some years ago (when I had no use for such a thing) I remember reading about a system which generated single transaction Mastercard credit card numbers for use online. I've just spent the last half hour searching but cannot find any current similar system. Does anyone know of one?

A question about balance transfers
At the moment I have two cards, a Tesco CC which I used to pay my car insurance (0% which runs out in July 2011) and an MBNA card (0% until October 2011) which I used to SBT my overdraft. I make regular payments on both cards, always more than the minimum amount, as I am clearing my silly debts that I got myself into. MBNA…

Crass Nationwide staff pushing Gold Visa
Went to a NW branch today to withdraw cash on my debit card. Asked for clean notes as I'm changing in Asia. Cashier: Oh Sir, do you use your debit card overseas? Me: Well, not any more since it's become expensive. Cashier: Yes we've introduced charges, but you can avoid them by using our gold visa card - it is free…

Can I do this?
I have just transferred the balance from one credit card to another for the 0% rate. However I have made a payment to my old credit card so this should be £150 in credit (in the black). Can I use the card that has a credit of £150 to reduce what I owe on the other credit card without any sort of problems? Many thanks. Rob.

Claim under section 75 of the credit consumer act 1974
Hi, I purchased a TV from and internet company Digitaldirect in May 2009 with a free three year warranty. A week ago the TV developed a fault so I contacted Digitaldirect about a warranty repair. I received an email back from them stating that the parent company at the time of my purchase had gone into administration and…

Confused about 0% interest on BTs and APR etc.
Basically, I've had a Barclaycard now for years and been paying off £100 here and there but generally paying off the minimum payment. My limit is £600 and I recently got a text saying it's over due because the payment hasn't come out my bank for some reason (will I have to pay a fee?). Anyway, I noticed the Barclaycard…
