NatWest Yourpoints -site down
I've been trying un-successfully to log on to the Yourpoints site for a couple of days. Today I tried calling their customer service people : after waiting for a reply for 3 minutes (very poor response for an 0845 number), I was told "we're improving the site, IT advise us it won't be back up till Monday". Does anyone know…

Amex Platinum Credit Card anomaly
Some two months ago, I successfully applied for the Amex 'platinum' card and started using it to get the 5% cashback. As most folks will know, Amex promote the card online and on TV with the 5% cashback being the prominent feature (or magnet). However, what some folks won't know (and I never knew) is that when you get your…

no fee balance transfers?
I have a Halifax card that had a 0% offer on purchases for 18 months. That offer is about to expire in January. I have a £3,300 balance on it. I could pay it off if I had to, but that would require cashing out an ISA. I'm reluctant to do that, but if it means avoiding paying interest on the debt, then I will. I've been…

MBNA rip-off
I made one money transfer into a MBNA credit card using a promotional rate of 0% until October 2008. In August this year I received a call from one MBNA Sales person offering me another deal which I accepted. This time I had had to pay a fee of around £100 and the money would be interest free until May 2009. When it came…

how secure are chip and pin cards?
I had believed that your card cannot be used without the pin except for online purchases, even then most card companies have introduced passwords for buying on line. I have just returned from Prague after a break. I used different chip and pin cards whilst there. Perhaps only 50% of the time was it treated as chip and pin.…

Morgan Stanley to Barclaycard
If you are one of the people who had a Morgan Stanley cashback credit card which has recently been taken over by Barclaycard it may be worthwhile contacting them. I had a couple of other Barclaycards which I'd either never used or used once so phoned to cancel the ones I didn't use - they offered to double my cashback rate…

Hi All, First post on this board. Just received letters today to say that my two Sainsburys Visas are being changed to Mastercards. Out of date credit report information within Experian
I was hoping someone would be able to give me advice on this. I recently tried to apply for a loan through 2 companies and got turned down. As a regular payer on any cards/loans, I ran a credit report through Experian (the rating agency the company used). Although I had paid off, and closed out a few old credit cards,…
