Will this affect my credit rating??

Hi all,
Hoping you can advise me - My good friends at Capital One changed my credit card number as they 'had been advised of fraudulent activity on a number similar to mine'. I got sent a new card and just carried on as normal.
I have just recieved a letter from them stating that my DD payment to them bounced for October. Having contacted my bank - this payment missed because Cap1 apparently never requested the money. The only thing I can think is that Cap1 have failed to update their records with the new CC number.
Having got hold of a suitably moronic call handler last night, the only place I managed to get to was that they would refund the £12 late payment charge now on my account (and the interest charges applied!) How generous - considering it wasn't my fault!!!. I couldn't get them to make any sense of why the payment hadn't gone through but that's this mornings job.
Anyways - what I am now worrying about is that this error on their part will affect my otherwise exemplary credit rating? Does anyone know?
Cheers
