Hi What do people think about this card? I know it's only 1 point for every £4 spent elsewhere but currently I don't get nothing with Capital one. If you don't like this card, what's the best cashback card going please Thank you

Halifax CC T & C's
I just got a change of T & C's that I don't normally look at but they have reduced the minimum payment to 1% of the balance, instead of 2.5 or whatever it was. What does that mean to me? Or is it just a sneaky way of making me stay in debt longer - I don't pay minimums btw. Just wondered why they would do this?

Lloyds TSB DD problem
I'm not sure if I should post this on here or the current account thread. I've had a Lloyds TSB Platinum card for around 2 months purely to take advantage of the 13 month 0% balance transfer offer. I had a DD setup to collect the minimum payment from my A&L account and the first month's DD went through fine. I'm also in…

I sent letters to all of my credit card companies last week, firstly to check what my APR and terms are and also to see if any could be written off (Egg, HSBC, Mint and Abbey) I have so far received a signed copy from Egg very quickly with no problems. I received a letter from HSBC today (who I also bank with…

catalogue issue
I don't know if this is the right place but couldn't find anything more suitable. Hubby received a letter from his catalogue today, saying that he was in credit with them (for the amount he's actually in debt with them). Upon calling them, they said that the computer messed up and he shouldn't have received that letter.…

0%card on purchases - will it be 0% to pay for something via paypal?
Hi I'm buying a car from a friend and I need an extra £1500 so I was going to take out a 0% card and pay him the extra £1500 via paypal. Is paying via paypal classed as a purchase that I'll get 0% on or not? If I pay him the £1500 via paypal and don't get the 0% purchase rate then theres no point in doing it really! I do…

Before anyone tells me I'm an idiot :) here's the idea: I have the £23k for the car already. Rather than hand it to the car dealership I'll pay for the car on a 0% interest card. In…

Experian Credit Expert Credit Report
I have just signed up to the Experian Credit Expert to view my Credit Report. However I had a couple of questions: 1. Why does the report not show a new credit account which I have opened recently (only just paid the bill) - the account in question is for Littlewoods Shop Direct and Freemans? [opened about 1 month] 2. The…

Section 75
I was just reading a current article on the Motley Fool and they stated that section 75 protection is in place even if only part of a payment was made by credit card. If this is true does that mean we only have to pay the deposit for a holiday to be covered by section 75, i.e. if a holiday company goes bust and I have paid…
