Nationwide credit card upgrade?

Sorry to shamelessly steal from the post below re citi :)

I've had a nationwide credit card for many years now. For a long time it was my regular card before I began stoozing :) Always paid on time etc. I noticed lately that there is now a platinum card available from the nationwide and that they have a good introductory offer of a 0% on spending for 3 months. Has anyone tried getting this as an existing customer? Would be grateful for any experiences...

I've not tried it but if they say you can't have it then their cancellations department will probably be the easiest way to get it.

As a stoozer anyway though, is 3 months really worth the effort when there are so many cards offering more?

    I agree, 3 months isn't worth much.

If you time your purchases to just after your statement is produced you can benefit from nearly 2 months interest free even without any promotion.

You may fall at the first hurdle?...
You can apply to change your Nationwide credit card at any time but any introductory rate or offer is not available if you have previously held a Nationwide credit card with an introductory rate or offer.

Don't think I've ever had an introductory rate - got this card back in the old non-MS days :)

And sorry Richard i wasn't clear about what I wanted it for - I'm heading on hols soon so would be spending on nationwide anyway therefore may as well get the benefit of the 0% rate...we'll spend about £1500 I'd guess so this would be good. Also will be spending time in Republic of ireland in october and would be using it there too....prob to the tune of about £500...
