Experian Credit Expert Credit Report

I have just signed up to the Experian Credit Expert to view my Credit Report. However I had a couple of questions:
1. Why does the report not show a new credit account which I have opened recently (only just paid the bill) - the account in question is for Littlewoods Shop Direct and Freemans? [opened about 1 month]
2. The report also does not show a recently opened contract mobile account with Orange? [opened about 1 month]

What I wanted to know was how long does it take for these companies to update my credit file or is it better for me that they don't show. Orange and Freemans have searched my report whereas Littlewoods have not even done that. What should I do? Any help would be appreciated as I intend to apply for a new card soon and am unsure what to do - it already shows I have had 5 searches done in a short amount of time

Also the balance of my current account and overdraft are showing as £0. What does this mean - I am doing something wrong?

In my experience, it can take up to 3 months for account history to start to appear.

Littlewoods may have searched Equifax and/or CallCredit instead.

Are all 5 searches for credit facilities, or are some for ID verification only (ie savings accounts etc) because they don't count?

To answer your edit, credit reports don't show current account positive balances. The overdraft is £0 because you're either not using it or don't have one.

3 months? - I would have thought they would have been quicker:cool:

I am currently within my agreed overdraft limit - but it is still showing as £0. Maybe they will need to update it as well. How long do banks take to update this information or is it just the same 3 months?

Littlewoods have not searched my experian report - but will it still show as a credit account on the report?

And to answer your question - only one is a savings account identification check whereas the other 4 are credit applications:eek: I think I am going to have to wait 6 months before applying again.

Maybe you were in credit on the day they last did the monthly sweep/report?

Once the account has been uploaded it'll be updated monthly.

Possibly.

I think I am going to have to wait 6 months before applying again.

I think it would be wise to wait a while, although I'm not sure you'd need to wait as long as that.
