0%card on purchases - will it be 0% to pay for something via paypal?

Hi

I'm buying a car from a friend and I need an extra £1500 so I was going to take out a 0% card and pay him the extra £1500 via paypal.

Is paying via paypal classed as a purchase that I'll get 0% on or not?

If I pay him the £1500 via paypal and don't get the 0% purchase rate then theres no point in doing it really!

I do have 2 credit cards already - one with Barclaycard (no longer 0%) which is clear and one with Sainsburys (again no longer 0%) which has about £200 on.

Any ideas?

you sure you want to do paypal
since they will take a huge chunk of the 1500 when your friend recieve the money

It depends, not every transaction with paypal is classed as a purchase. I would double check with them first before doing it.

There have been reports of Paypal transactions being classed as Cash Advances, not adviseable unless you have money to burn.

Definitely check with the card provider before doing this.
