Credit Card Interest
If, before going abroad, you credit your Credit Card account with say £1000, when you draw money from an ATM with your credit card, can the bank charge you interest on the money drawn? After all you are not borrowing as your account is in credit.

Sainsburys Bank credit card - vouchers
I see that the Sainsburys Bank CC no longer gives you Nectar points as you spend (although there is an offer of 3000 points when you first use the card), and instead they 'regularly' send you booklets with money off vouchers for the store. What's the general consensus on these vouchers? What sort of money off offers do…

Why can a debt last forever and u can only claim back for 6 years?
Why can you owe a company a sum of money ie £150 for as long as it takes for them to get it and people can only claim back money from companies such as banks for only 6 years?

Barclaycard Mailshot
Hi folks In todays mail I had an offer from Barclaycard to apply for their platinum card. On the outside of the envelope it says I have been pre qualified to apply. Does this mean anything or is it just something they put on there that makes it more likely for you to apply. I'm leaning towards the latter. Any opinions much…

Virgin Prepaid Mastercard
Just got my nice Virgin Mastercard and thought I would share a few things which might help anyone thinking of applying for one... The card itself is NOT embossed, it is flat with the words 'For Electronic Use Only', a bit like Visa Electron, not sure why this is unless cards dont need to be imprinted now for any reason.…

Ways to pay off early
Hi everyone I'm due to pay off my final bit of overdraft next month and then my credit card will be cleared by October due some money which is owed to me. That will leave me with only my loan, which by December should be down to roughly £5000 (settlement figure). I would like to pay this off sooner rather than later…

switching loan to 0% card
How can I use a 0% card to take a chunk out of my expensive loan? I took out the Natwest classic 0% for 13 months card with a view to paying off a chunk of a loan. As I have a Cahoot flexi loan which lets me pay any amount off I presumed that I would be able to use it to do that. However, it now turns out that a payment to…
