Barclaycard Mailshot

Options
Hi folks

In todays mail I had an offer from Barclaycard to apply for their platinum card. On the outside of the envelope it says I have been pre qualified to apply. Does this mean anything or is it just something they put on there that makes it more likely for you to apply. I'm leaning towards the latter. Any opinions much appreciated.

Comments

  • It means nothing. How could they really pre-approve you?

Your application will be judged on what you put on your application form and the credit search.
  • Much appreciated, didn't think it could mean anything without a credit check, just wanted to clarify this with someone with more experience.
