CC- Fraud

Options
My first post, I recently checked my CC statement and found a list of purchases from an online retailer. i promtly phoned my card issuer and and have since had my monies refunded. I just don't understand how retailers in this day and age don't seem to validate card holder details before shipping products out and charging innocent individuals. I believe these retailers should be named and shamed as this must mean a lack of security on their side..would like to hear from any body else with similar views.

Shamed retailler : uk's largest supermarket retailler : couldn't beleive
charges : ran up to just over 2 thousand pounds of fraudulent transactions.

  • I dont see what your problem is to be honest

    Your covered

Id imagine the reasoning is that it would cost far more to verify each transaction as genuine in advance than it costs them in losing out to fraud
  • I think what OP is getting at is that any online sale should be verified to cardholder's address.
If it had happened then these would not have been authorised.
