BT Credit card - 1.5% off BT bill?
Hi - Just came across a page on BT's credit card: http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=16849 Although it's an MBNA credit card under the bonnet, it suggests that it gives 1.5% off your BT bill from the word go. I know there's better cashback cards out there, but most only give…

Nationwide Creditcard
My brother has applied online for a nationwide credit card and at the end of the application process it said he would find out in 5-7 days rather than an instant decision is this normal or would this mean he is unlikely to receive one . Any one else had a same message when doing an online application with Nationwide . All…

First credit card in ages...which one?
A bit of background first.... I got my first credit card (at 18) with Barclaycard and stayed with them for over 10 years whilst I was working full time. I then started a family and have not worked for 8 years whilst raising them. I have a joint mortgage, joint bank account etc, but all other credit over the years has been…

Capital One Cashback card - how long does it take?
Been approved and sent my signed paperwork back today. How long does it take to get the card sent through? Need to buy £4000 worth of plane tickets and the £160 cashback is attractive but I'd feel a bit of a chump if the ticket prices went up by more than that in the meantime. Says 10-14 days on literature, but it said the…

Capital One Application
Hey guys, I was just wondering how many days Capital One usually take to send the T&Cs to sign and send back. They advise 10-14 days, however I think they're covering themselves because a letter shouldn't take that long. Maybe they're referring to the actually card when I've signed. Anyone experienced with Capital One?

Morgan Stanley 0% Balance transfer has just stitched me up!
Hi all, my first post here but have used the site many times before - really useful information. Recently, moved my £7000 balance from CapitalOne 0% card (due to expire) to a Morgan Stanley 0% offer. Great, max £50 balance transfer fee and then nothing to pay (except minimum payments for another 9 months). Somehow, my…

Second credit card app in one month - good idea?
I've just cancelled a Natwest 0% card as it was useless to me as there was no way to use it to pay off either an overdraft or to make a payment to a loan account. Hands up - it's my fault for not checking. It's been a few years since i had a 0% card and back then I'm sure most of them let you do that kind of thing. Anyway,…

Tesco Mastercard - Faulty "Balance Transfer" fees on latest statement
I have a Tesco Mastercard - which I believe is administered by RBOS. The most recent statement included 2 Balance Transfer fees, each of £5.00, each attached (ie same transaction reference number) to a purchase. There was also an interest charge on the account (only 4 pence, but we pay this card off in full so its a bit…

Which credit card should i get?
Hey all, I'm thinking of getting a credit card just to start up my credit history. I will use it very occasionally to be honest and will always pay the full amount of the bill as soon as i get it - so really i'm just getting one for the credit record. Thus, % on balance transfers etc. doesn't really matter to me and i'm…

Will my credit rating be affected by previous house owner's debts?
I've just bought a new house and have discovered that the previous owner had many debts, some of which were secured on the house. I'm concerned that this may affect my credit rating in the future. B&Q store card.
Don't know if it's been mentioned but B&Q are doing £20 off your first spend of £50 if you take a card out. Also 0% for three months if you spend £500. No annual fee so worth taking out if you are buying there any way.
