Halifax Credit Extra - New Internal Credit Scoring System from Halifax
I logged on to Halifax and it looks like they have a new credit checker which lets you know if you will be approved for any credit cards, overdrafts etc. Its basically like a credit scoring system and it tells you where you are. I think its about time a bank did this so we could see how well we far in their own internal…

Bank Rejected Cheque Because Issuer Used My 'Abbreviated' Name?
I recently received a cheque. But, my bank rejected it, because the issuer had used the abbreviation of my name. Not a nickname as such, and the issuer has never called me by my full name in my whole life - everybody knows me by my 'abbreviated' name. Is this the bank's correct procedure? Can I ask the bank to accept both…

Moving money from a joint account
I am sure my dad is wrong about this! My mum and dad had a joint account with most of their savings in it. They opened new bank accounts in individual names and put half in each. For some reason now, my dad is worrying about some sort of tax implications as a result and he is talking about gifting or something. Surely this…

Anyone else received SMS from Barclays asking to reply back?
I received a SMS from 60310 asking me if I have any other tax residency and to reply with YES or NO or STOP to opt out. The thing is, I've never had any account with Barclays. Linking savings account to my debit card
I opened up a Santander Everyday Saver account and I think I linked it to my student account debit card. I'm just confused what this actually means. My "cards" page on the app shows two cards, but they are identical (same number and expirery date). What does linking the account to the card actually do?
