Currently Bank with Bank of Scotland
Monthly Saver £1500.00 with BOS
Investment with £3300 with Bank of Scotland
4k in Stocks and Shares ISA
No Debt
Thinking of getting a 2nd current account to split my bills into - Specsavers, Vodafone and Amazon Prime all bills I have. I am planning on buying a home next year and think at this stage it might be easier heading into the new year with separate accounts for bills and spending. Anyone recommend a current account provider? May go with BOS but in the interest this fails im locked out of cash so thinking of going with a 2nd bank

I would go with a completely separate bank.
If instant notifications (of money in and out) on your smartphone are useful to you then banks like Monzo, Starling and Lloyds do this.
Not Halifax as I believe they are also BOS.1 -

Was looking at NatWest but also read some poor press regarding their secruity and fraud but also guess every bank has those customers that have been let down.0 -

The differences between most banks aren't as large as people think. All banks will have its successes and failures, and a lot of the time it just depends on luck (e.g. which customer service employer you happen to get).0 -

They have instant notifications, but these aren't as specific as the Lloyds/Halifax ones, i.e. it says "your direct debit of £20 has been paid out of your account", but it doesn't tell you the company's name, whereas Lloyds etc will tell you it's for British Gas, for example.
If you can pay in £800 per month and have at least two Direct Debits, you can add Blue Rewards and earn a £3 monthly reward.1
