Robocalled from Halifax...that wasn't them.
Just (in last few days) opened a/c with Halifax, selected methods of contact to be ONLY online and email. Today received two separate auto-voice calls saying they were from the Halifax, thanking me for opening the account and to make sure I paid in funds by x date. Nothing more. 1471 gave me the number which I then googled…

If you have a fraud CIFAS against you?
If you have a fraud CIFAS against you and your banks closes your account. You apply for a new account with a different bank and that is rejected, does that stay on their internal file longer than the CIFAS marker so you won't be able to bank with them at all in the future? Or does it clear after 6 years?

What are the Halifax Reward loopholes?
I’ve seen lots of separate mentions of how to get multiple Halifax Reward accounts over the years (eg upgrading and then downgrading) but never captured the up-to-date tips in one place. Personally I’ve got 3 single-name Reward accounts which I’ve held for over a decade... so not doing too badly, but always open to ways to…
