Best way to get 10,000 euros from GBP
First of all - I couldn't find any suitably named subforum for currency exchange. This forum seems more suitable than most (my logic is "because I want to pay for euros with money from my BANK ACCOUNT" ) I am going abroad for a cosmetic procedure, and I need to bring 9,750 euros in cash with me. I need to buy…

Stopped cheque still paid out?
Hi my father in law in his 80s had a random cold caller for solar panels and ended up giving them a cheque for £1700. As soon as he told us (the day it happened), we advised him to stop the cheque, which he did that day. The cheque was with Halifax. We contacted the solar panel company and told them and that we were not…

Switching back from Lite to 1I2I3
Santander has been my main go-to current account for many years. All my SOs, the bulk of my DDs go through it and anything involving quick payments/deposits has worked like a dream. With Marcus offering 1.05% and later Skipton 1.2%, I somewhat reluctantly opted for the Lite version. When Lloyds dropped their rate I moved…

Trying again to be money fit
Hi all For a few years now, I saved in to my TSB Classic Account. At the beginning of 202 I realised that I was only earning 1.5% interest on the first £1500 on my £2500 savings. I created a eisa with Virgin (mortgage with them) and a regular saver (2.00% annual gross) with BoS. I have slowly been moving cash in to them at…

Lloyds - create SO without phone call verification?
I want to set up 2 SO's on my Lloyds account (so I can switch it to HSBC). I'm currently abroad (non-EU) and while I can receive SMS to my mobile free, calls are pretty costly. When I try to use OLB to set up SO's, it wants to call me to input a code; this is a new one for me, SMS verification is the norm I thought. But…
