Switched from TSB, then got low balance alert.

Yesterday, the switch of one of my TSB Classic Plus accounts to Lloyds completed. I logged in and saw that interest had been added, then the whole balance debited leaving zero.
This morning I got a text alert for that account "As you're near your limit, please make sure you have enough to cover upcoming transactions".
Anyone else had such an alert for a switched-away account?

Probably one of many glitches with their systems, technically if you set a reminder limit above £0 they aren't wrong are they ;)

I don't remember setting any limit.
When I logged in today, the account had disappeared, so hopefully there won't be any more alerts.

  • I once closed a Lloyds credit card and then got a payment due or similar text. I called Lloyds and the "closed" account was in debt by 70p! Lloyds wrote off the debt but advised to check again within six months. I did so and they told me the account was finally closed after six months. So it is best to contact TSB to confirm.

Yes, I've had the same alert and so has one of my friends for their switch. Subsequently there's only been an e-mail to say there's an important document waiting for me in my internet banking inbox and this turned out to be a closing statement.
