Yorkshire Bank - 2 gripes (was What does this term mean?)
OK here's a test - for advanced readers here it is out of context, what does the second line mean: Interest paid on credit balances † † Up to £3,000 minimum monthly deposit required Does it mean if you pay in from £0.01 to £3000 monthly you will get some interest? And if you pay in £3001 you won't? I'm just not getting the…

Santander strange processing?
I checked my statement and it shows transactions for tomorrow! Several transactions are listed for the 8th, even though two of them were faster payments (which went through correctly) sent on Saturday the 6th and the other shows as the interest added to the account on the 8th. I checked my current balance and my available…

Best Banking App
Hi, I'm currently with First Direct. Their customer service is apparently great. Personally, I dont know how great their CS has been because I hardly have to speak to them. What I do know is that I find their Android App and Online Banking is terrible. Slow to log into and not easy to use. It's come to the point where I'm…

Switching for Incentive DD Question
Sorry, you probably get these kind of questions all the time over here. I'll get to the point: I realise that I need two DDs set up on an account in order to switch and gain an incentive. Do these DDs have to be regular, or can they be, for example, credit card payments that haven't been taken for a few months due to not…

"Minimum pay in" question
I'm looking to switch my wife's account (with her permission of course!) to M&S bank. One of the offers is: "If you can commit to a minimum pay in, you now get an extra £10 added to the gift card each month for the first year when you deposit £1,000/mth." The amount of salary getting paid in would be around £800. If this…
