If I switch my current account with halifax to their reward current account will I still qualify for the £100 reward, or is it only for people transferring from an outside bank account, lloyds, nationwide etc?.

The incentive is for using the 7 day current account switching service to switch a bank account into Halifax. You can't switch an account from Halifax to Halifax.
I assume you're getting the terms 'switch' and 'upgrade' mixed up.0 -
hello
No, the reward only works if you change a different bank to halifax, not from halifax current to halifax reward.
change your account to hsbc and get £1200 -
I thought that was the case but when I searched for an answer on the internet it did sound like you could upgrade and get the reward but wasn't sure so asked here but it's just as I thought it's only when moving an account in, and hsbc takes 70 days to pay out halifax was only 3 days, it's just a shame they only do it for switching as when I opened my account with halifax I got nothing as wasn't switching.0

You can still switch an account into your Halifax account and get the incentive.0 -
What does this mean I read it on the hsbc site (You must switch using Current Account Switch Service within 30 days of opening your account.) does it mean you have to switch to hsbc within 30 days of opening the account your switching from?.0

Yes it means you need to complete a current account switch within 30 days of opening a HSBC account. As a current account switch takes 7 working days to complete, you'd have to start it in enough time for it to complete within the 30 days from opening.0 -
Would halifax allow me to have another account even though I've already got one, and I may open a bank account if they do with someone else and then switch it to halifax, depends if the £100 is worth the hassle.
You don't have to open another with Halifax. You can open one with a different back and switch that into the Halifax account you've already got open to get the switch incentive.0
