If you went direct, to first direct's web site it is 28 days from completing the criteria. If you went via a third party, don't hold your breath.0

I open my account 11/1 and started the switch, had to wait awhile for the switch paperwork so the switch went through on 25/1. Got my £150 yesterday0

Thats was fast. Was expecting a month or so0

I did it from MSE and once opened, I waited a few working days. But opening the account took forever because I had to wait for the key card to be sent.0

Had you satisfied the £1000 bit of the criteria prior to switch or during/after if you don't mind me asking?'If you ain't living life on the edge you are taking up too much room'

I'm currently waiting for my switching paperwork to show up. They said it was sent on Tuesday but I've yet to get it. I have my card and pin etc. but everything is going rather slowly...
I was planning on my £1000 going in when the switch happens... does that slow down the paying of the switching bonus? Vert frustrating as they are the ones making it all go so slowly... 7 days is going to be more like three weeks it seems...0 -

This offer is limited to one payment per customer or joint relationship. Incentives are paid within 28 days of all criteria being met.
1. Open an account
2. Switch to it using the CASS
3. Pay in £1,000 within 3 months of account opening
The second paragraph says they'll pay within 28 days of you meeting all the criteria.
In short, the clock starts ticking when you've met the last of the criteria, so before you do anything you have to open the account (obviously!). It then doesn't matter which you do first, ie switch or pay in, but whatever you do last starts the clock.
So now we've dissected the the T&Cs, do you think paying in your £1,000 "when the switch happens" will slow things down?0 -
Applied 1/1... switched 12/1 (which incidentally funded the account by more than £1000)... 21/1 got bonus!0
