TSB contactless timing
Does anyone have first hand knowledge of whether contactless payments made yesterday but not showing on my account until (at least) tomorrow will count towards January or February for the 5% cashback? I didn't have many chances to use contactless earlier in the month so hopefully January. Only really want to know because I…

So for a saving account like TSB, I can set up the DD's for the monthly pay in requirement (from main bank account to the TSB current account) and a DD for the TSB saver (from the TSB current account to the TSB saver account) whenever I like really because I have sufficient funds in the current account (5% interest on the…

Opening a Euro account.
I am due to repatriate funds from Morocco from the sale of a property. I would like to repatriate the money in Euros as I think Sterling will continue to weaken against the Euro. Can anyone help me find the easiest way to open a Euro account from the UK? I'm a UK resident with a UK passport.

Is it too late to do the criteria transferring for January?
I just realised today that i'd forgotten to meet the criteria on various accounts for January's bonus payment (example: Nationwide Flexdirect needing £1000 in the calendar month to receive interest, Halifax needing £750 for the £5 etc). So i made a start this morning but on the online statement (i began with Halifax)…

Lloyds cash account vs lloyds basic account
Can someone tell me the difference between these two? I have the cash account and I can upgrade to their basic version but I was under the impression the cash account IS the basic account? I don't really use the account that much and tend to transfer money to it if there is cashback offers on there that I know I'm going to…

Three Santander 123?
Is there any rule that says I cannot have three 123 accounts? I have 6 direct debits, and I can transfer £500 into each one every month. Bundly PS I tried five times to search the forums for "123" and for "Santander", and every time got an error message, so apologies if this has been asked before.

Budgeting software and websites ?
Is there a thread in here on this ? I thought I'd have a crack at it after a failed attempt last year, but most comparisons I see are US-centric. I looked but didn't find. Has anyone tried MSEs website budget planner? I'm looking for something reasonably straightforward, don't want to be connecting to credit cards or banks…

What is the best account for a temporary resident?
I am in the UK for a temporary project (one year) without a regular salary. I need to open an account to transfer my money from abroad, and use it for my daily expenses. Nationwide state their own sort code doesn't exist
I missed my January payment at the branch today into my Nationwide Monthly Saver book, so rang my mother and asked her to transfer £500 from her Nationwide FD into it (I don't have a Nationwide current account). This was because I'm not sure whether an external payment (e.g. from Santander) would register as being paid…

Access to bank account legal?
Hi, sorry if this is the wrong forum (may well be), but I thought it looked the most apt. My uncle has been in a severe accident (about 4 months ago) and has been in hospital ever since. It is unlikely he will come out, and is likely to have to go into a home to ensure 24x7 care. He is also certified with Alzheimers and…

Santander and direct debits
Mrs E and I have set up three Santander accounts, with the necessary funds going in and two DDs going out from each. But the council tax DD only takes money out for 10 months of the year - the council gives us Jan and Feb as 'tax-free' months. Will it still count as a DD for Santander? Otherwise I assume I may lose…
