I am writing on behalf on my girlfriend. She has paid money into an account to pay for her university accomodation (£2000). The trouble is that the halls of residance has been taken over by a new company and the old company has ceased to exist. The money was accidently paid into the old company's account, even though the…

Guidance Needed: temporary cashflow issue - can't get an overdraft
Hi folks, I've got a bit of a problem that I'd really value people's guidance with. I've just taken a new job. It's more money but is a big, and expensive, commute. As such, until I can sell the house and relocate, I'll need to rent midweek away from home. Because of the initial outlay for a deposit and travel costs and…

First Direct question
to do the switch, I see that there is a requirement of £1000 going into the account each month to get the £125 switch bonus. How is this monitored? For example, with Halifax I can withdraw some money then pay it back in to reach the £750 to get the £5 reward each month. Can I do this with First Direct? Thanks

How long for a cheque to appear after paying in by post?
Morning. I've banked with First Direct virtually ever since it started but am now in the process of changing to a Co-op account.
