No £5 reward from Halifax since July?

Options
Have I missed something. I've just been looking at my statements and noticed I've not had the £5 reward since July on both my Joint and personal account.

I've had £1000+ going into both each month and not received any notice ruins as far as I am aware. Has this now stopped?

They changed it to needing £750 a month and having 2 direct debits. There's been 3000 threads and 10 billion postings on the subject.

No letter for either account from Halifax about it?

Why not take the opportunity to close another bank account (ie switch) and get £100 incentive.

Two direct debits and £750 per month for the £5
Switch and close a current account for £100.

Can be done online. You won't get an e-mail confirmation, but the £100 is deposited to your account after a day or so, and the switch is done in 7 working days. Easy-peasy.

I have £1000+ going into each of them each month plus 2+ DD coming out of them both so they should qualify?

I did do a search for halifax rewards but couldn't find anything apologies....

I don't have any accounts with anyone else and my husband who was with Barclays has already switched and received his £100. He doesn't have £750 going into his or any DD now as moved to joint account so has never qualified for the reward.
  • Since Lloyds has seperated from TSB, I have been informed that I am now with TSB. Should I stay with TSB or move bank accounts? I think I was sold identity protection by Lloyds TSB. What should I do?

This was the main thread (900+ posts) started last December when the changes were first announced.

I think you would get a better response if you started your own thread

If your 2 DDs are actually paying each month, you need to ask Halifax what the issue is. Else you need to get 2 that do pay each month.

But if the OP has met the requirements, their post is valid.

I too have noticed a drop off, but my DD go to the same account (despite there being two DD).

I did have my first account put to a normal regular account, so opened a new Reward Current Account online and changed all the details. Been working for the last couple of months but no £5.

For me, I guess it was good while it lasted. I don't really want to mess about with opening other accounts now. £85 is good enough. Will be keeping my Clarity Credit card with them though :)

Ah yes, that's right, the DDs must be "different". They don't explain what they mean by it but the Halifax employee who started the thread about the change said they'd check the Originator Identification Number (OIN) to determine whether the DDs are for different companies.
