TSB Called Me To Confirm Account Open Successfully? Usual?

Applied for a current account with TSB on Sunday. Just missed a call off them and they left a voicemail to say Good News your account is open and paperwork will be out in next few days?

Anybody else had this?
Genuine courtesy call? Or trying to sell me accounts etc?

Not quite the same but I did receive a call from the branch I opened my accounts with (in Scotland) to say 'hello' and 'welcome' and 'can we do anything to help'. She also wanted me to confirm that I had paid a large amount of money into the accounts and I did that. Want to take advantage of the Enhance offer.

Pleasant call, no hassle.

On the same note I had a call from Lloyds the week before to confirm that I had been expecting a large amount of money into one of my current accounts. Once I had confirmed it and the source (cashed in premium bonds) he was happy- again, pleasant call and no hassle.

I was surprised by both calls, however no questions which would have revealed any security information was asked.
