Working out accruing %'s in excel
I'm trying to work out how much money I'm owed back as a rebate from a company I do business for. They give me an anual rebate based on my monthly turnover: £0-£24,999k = 1% £25k - £49,999 = 2% £50k - £74,999 = 3% £75k - £99,999 = 4% £100k+ = 5% The rebate is worked out in stages, so if i make £48k one month, I get 2% on…

Lost my Halifax online statements
I went paper-free. Big mistake. Halifax re-did their site to copy that of Lloyds TSB. They may both be copying someone else, but TSB is the bank i'm with who had the layout & Halifax followed suit. I could access each months statement online no problem. Just been to access a statement tonight & find that i can't get to…

Basic Acc - No Security Number - Limitation?
I recently have opened a basic account with Santander, and I was told I would still be able to create standing orders and draw out cash as with any account. So today I was trying to sign up for Phone & Broadband with BT. However after filling in their online forms, I was confronted with Direct Debit detail queries. Fine, I…

Cashpoint says received cash but didn't dispense
I went to a cashpoint 3 weeks ago this evening and tried to withdraw £40, the cashpoint got to the bit where it said processing and then shut down. It then went through and reboot sequence. Neither my card nor the cash was given to me. The cashpoint is on the premises of a shell garage. So I went inside to speak to the…

Grant Application & Credit Search
I am in the process of appying for a grant for my disabled son. However, I face a dilemma. The application asks about savings. Technically, I have savings-but in real terms I don't. Let me explain... I have an offset mortgage with a sizeable overdraft facility. Because my mortgage interest rate is miniscule, I've maxed…

Warning: HSBC Self-Service Coin Collect
Hi Just to warn you all, if you use the service above make sure you actually know how much you are paying in before you use the machine. Ok it does defeat the object of just walking in and paying in a jar full of change. Today it took 4 attempts to get the machine to pay in the cash. Each time it neither rejected nor…

Is my bank account 'safe'?
I've read that some banks can take funds from a current account to use against a debt (credit card etc)? I owe money to Barclaycard and MBNA (used to be an Abbey credit card). I bank with Santander, is my bank account safe, that it won't be raided to pay my debts? I owe money but it's under control, just worries me that a…

Bank of Scotland' Easycash Account
Hi I have a few queries, which my local branch of Halifax seem unable to answer: I live in England (and English, though seem to get more sense out of the Scots by-and-large) but have a BoS account I opened over the phone as I used to go to Scotland, and there were few "English" banks there, so used the BoS account when…
