I clicked onto it and it claims to show an immediate analysis of my February spending: 90% was under the heading 'Uncategorised'.

AFAICS the only things it does are things I'm already doing myself better, or things I don't need.

    I shan't be using it.

I keep all my records on a spreadsheet. Not automated, so maybe it's antiquated. But it works for me....

No Largely cause it doesn't seem to exist yet

I'm with lloyds and despite all the heavy advertising there is nothing to actually access yet and the internal ad banners that promise it 'within days' have been running for weeks now.

....me suspects all is not going well for Lloyds on this particular project.....

Vaporware describes products, usually computer hardware or software, not released on the date announced by their developer, or announced months or years before their release. The word usually implies a negative opinion of a product or developer, and pessimistic uncertainty that it will eventually be released. The word has been applied to a growing range of products including consumer electronics, automobiles, and some stock trading practices.

It exists alright, and I have access to it (as already stated above). In fact, I got a text this morning telling me it would be there when I logged in, and it was. I presume, as happened with their new website, users will be brought online gradually.

Whether it's worth the effort they've presumably put into it is another matter.

I've been sent a sneek preview of my February spending

My gym membership shows up as a holiday - it's because it's in a hotel! But it shows on statement as in March which is where I would put it if I was doing my accounts. Also it has categorised £35 as home spending - I don't have a payment for that amount?

  • I have used it, but have my own spreadsheet - It's a good idea but I found that near enough all my transactions I would have to go back and input myself... That's a lot of work!!

Just got access to it today but not too impressed. Good to get a general overview of what's coming in and what's going out but I did find it a little annoying and looks like a few things still to iron out:

    1) Often got errors when trying to add new categories
    2) When I was sorting out my "uncategorised" stuff, it seemed to think these all belong in the same category.
    SELFRIDGES RETAIL
    WM MORRISONS STORES
    GARFUNKEL'S
    NATIONAL EXPRESS EAST
So each time I changed one and left apply for similar transactions in history and future, it would change all of them!! Ended up having to do it all one by one.
    3) Doesn't seem to show live information. The stuff I changed and re-categorised this morning only showed up this afternoon.

I am keeping an open mind. It has teething problems, but what doesnt these days!

I will let the problems get sorted and have a look at it in a couple of months time.

    Up and running now

£35 home spending now shows sub categories which are mobile £10, that's ok but £25 mortgage - now that is incorrect. The £25 is to a building society but a savings account. I am slowly re-categorising the payments but it's not updating the money manager in real time - no idea how long it will take!
