Switching Virgin to Openreach
I’m currently on a deal with Virgin Media and paying £55 per month for the cheapest line,tv,broadband and weekend calls package. Virgin are offering this to new customers for £33 per month, £22 per month less than I am paying, they will not offer me this package. Prior to moving to Virgin I was with BT but I have an out of…
PlusNet end of contract charge
Hi all, I was about to take over the broadband in a shared house and keep the same provider. This was all going fine until I was told the tajeover could be a few days before the current contract ran out. I had no problem for paying for a few extra days to keep an unbroken connection. However, I was informed that the…
Help with Sky
I had a sky account and moved out the property (divorced from ex wife) 3 years ago, account in my name and I've come to cancel it and someone has started a new contract at 18 months, my ex wife has said she hasn't restart the contract. The account has to stay in my name. They wont let me cancel it and I've explained about…
Six month broadband deal
I've got a six month tenancy agreement on a new flat. Can anyone recommend a phone company that can do a 6-month contract or that doesn't have an outrageous exit fee? All the comparison sites seem just to offer 12-month deals All help appreciated
Confused By Virgin Media
I contacted Virgin Media yesterday to get the Broadband and telephone deal on offer for £27 only to be told there are 'no cables running to the property'....I know this is incorrect because Virgin Media was active up until November 2019 when the contract was cancelled by me!!! My question is does anybody know the reason…
V4 Telecom refusing to give up broadband line
Has anyone heard of V4 Telecom and had issues with their broadband service? My elderly parents changed to V4 about 6 months ago to save money. Since then the line drops several times a day and my mother has had more calls with them than I can count trying to resolve and finally trying to cancel. She offered to pay the…
Flat only has Sky TV or BT Broadband lines - any alternatives?
Hi My new build flag has only a shared Sky TV satellite on the roof and BT broadband lines setup - I don’t know why they didn’t at least do it with the same provider, so I could get a multi buy discount package I was wondering, is there any alternatives to me like with mobile phones where another network shares the signal
What is a normal Internet speed?
My wife told me this evening that BT had telephoned us to say that they were worried about the low level of Internet speed our area near Abingdon were receiving and an Engineer would be calling on us. I checked the Internet speed at 19.00 and found it as follows. Response time latency 706 S Download speed 1.4 Mbps Upload…
Please please help with switch !!!
:( I'm pretty much having a meltdown about switching my tv/broadband package. I've been with Virgin for 5 years, and my actual contract ran out a couple of months ago, so all my discounts ended and I'm now paying £55.00 PM. Despite telling them several times on the phone that I'm leaving, and a New customer can get MY…
Virgin Media b/b & phone charges
I took on Virgin Media's broadband MSE offer in August 2019 - £25 per month plus £75 credit towards the service - and including my landline. A good deal. I only need a landline mainly for some incoming calls (getting less and less these days). I then noticed in November that I was being charged £30 per month not £25. Long…
looking to reduce the cost of my BB - currently with PlusNet
Currently paying £34.98 a month (!!!) I haven't been paying attention to it for about 2 years and it seems to be bad value now. I noticed some are about £15-£17 a month - Post Office and Vodafone - are either of those considered reliable? I've found Plusnet pretty good.
