BT Mis-selling Infinity2 package?
I had infinity2 package installed , you know the one with the advert you could get 55-74Mb and the min you will get 46Mb(accurate within 1-2Mb). All was fine with no problems as I didnt feel the need to test it as it seemed fast, recently my contract was up for renewal so after a bit of negotiating I decided to continue…

BT Retentions - how far can I go?
My contract has expired with BT and I called up today to try and get a better deal. I currently have BT Infinity 1, evening and weekend calls plus BT Sport HD (on SKY) at just over £60. I was offered £39.50 to renew. As I was hoping for something closer to £30 I asked if they could throw in a £125 Sainsburys voucher as…

BT line rental
Several years ago we were told by BT that we needed to pay them line rental despite having phone and broadband with our sky package. I've recently found out that we didn't need to be paying this. Should we be able to claim our money back?

Virgin Media speed upgrade - is it free?
Had an email offering me a speed upgrade from 50Mbps to 70Mbps. Went through the online order process. At no point did it mention a cost, but at the same time it didn't say it was free either. The implication was that it was free, but this wasn't specified. What I do hate about Virgin Media is that you can't see the cost…

BT trying to obtain my IP address; should I be worried?
Had a technical failure (no broadband) and called up BT for help after it didn't turn back on again. The (Indian call center?) person I spoke to appeared to know very little about what he was doing. Normally after the initial try restarting the router, tried-the-master-socket? type questions the line is checked for faults,…

Sky MSE sept offer
Just had 2nd bill and it's still incorrect. Spent over an hour trying to sort last bill with the on line adviser who was useless and very rude. Has anyone got a link or details of the offer and does anyone know what the £5 upfront you had to pay was for and is it refundable? Thanks in advance

Orange broadband / Netgear router
I have been trying to phone Orange broadband support all week and always get the same recorded message saying they are experiencing high volumes of calls at the moment , please call back later. Our wifi is absolutely awful and I am wondering if it is due to the router that they supplied, quite a few years ago now. I don't…

Anyone with BT Fibre in their area but not available in their street/house
Firstly thanks for reading this post So, BT Fibre is in the Wilmslow area but for some reason my street (moving in soon) can not get it. Most areas around it can. I can only check via postcode as don't have a landline yet and it states only 3MB available and when I use Openreach's site to check when Fibre will be…

TalkTalk - cyber-attack - Grounds for canceling contract?
Hello I currently have 6months left on my talktalk contract after this latest cyber-attack I have zero confidence in them to look after my details. I was wondering can I now complain to them and get them to cancel the contract or will they make me see out the rest of the 6months left on the contract?

Can I leave TT now?
Would I be able to leave Talk Talk after this security breach? I am truly fed-up with them. I have 4 months left on my contract. When I re-newed my contract I assumed it would be for 12 months, I only found out that it was apparently for 18 months. I KNOW I definitely did not agree to 18 months! after much hassling, they…

Post Office BB and Phone
Hello, I'e recently moved (well a month ago) and before I moved I checked the cheapest price for broadband and phone, long story short the Post Office was the cheapest and I thought as they are a reputable (haha) brand I would go with them. I had the phone put on last Thursday and was told it would take 5 working days…

Sky Anytime - international call no longer free
Apart from the line rental being raised to £17.40 a month, Sky have done away with Sky Anytime International Calls. Sky Anytime has been raised to £8 but will include mobile calls instead. If you want inclusive international calls this has gone up to £12 (from £5) - really not worth it when you consider a 60 minute call…

Non Fibre area
I live in a non FO area and with my current provider (Fuel/NewCall Telecom) i'm getting about 1mb/sec. Non of the main providers offer anything less than their 17mb/sec packages and are not prepared to give a discount considering my circumstances. Seem a bit unfair to pay in excess of £22/month for 1mb/sec Any thoughts??
