Broadband to possibly be reduced in price.
"Cheaper broadband packages could be on the way following BT's decision to slash the cost of its wholesale pricing for high-speed net access. BT said it would cut the amount it charges other internet service providers by 9 per cent on 1 May, which could in turn allow the ISPs to charge consumers less."…

Hi, been on dial up for years and reasonably happy with it; i dont do gaming and am fairly patient waiting for things to download but i think the time has come to switch to broadband. i am not too bothered about speed (reckon anything will seem fast after dial up) but dont want to pay much more than my current £9.99 if…

Symantec Norton Anti Virus Software - Aarrrghhh
Hi there. I've had my computer for about 2 years now and the chap that built it for me loaded Norton Antivirus software which appears to be working fine. In July last year I was prompted to renew my subscription which I duly did. Then about 3 weeks ago I had a message pop up to say that my Norton Antivirus software's "60…

Talk Talk - Stopped calls through 1899, etc?
Have just tried to use 1899 and 18185 to make a call this morning. Got number unobtainable tone. I think Talk Talk were planning to stop customers being able to use these providers to get cheaper calls to 08** numbers. Does anyone know if this has actually happened, or am I experiencing a different problem?

Modem advice
Since Biscit I have adopted a zero tolerance policy, Virgin Media have been cancelled after setting install date, then putting it back 4 weeks because they have decided they need to dig up the footpath, despite the cable access lid being 300mm from my front garden. Even the guy on cancellations agreed a site inspection…

ORANGE - Poor show for FSnet & Wanadoo users
I fix computers and give technical support. I never like to be beaten by a problem and dont give in easily but when it comes to Orange and email for their FSnet and Wanadoo customers I find myself stumped. Orange took over both FSnet and Wanadoo and all their customers and whenever a customer of theirs contacts me over an…

Dual Broadband?
Probably a stupid question but I've looked everywhere for a definitive answer and can find nothing. Can a single household have more than 1 broadband service? I was thinking along the lines of 2 phone lines (different numbers) and 2 different broadband providers. or 1 dsl and 1 cable connection? Is it possible to have more…

Virgin Broadband & anytime £19.99 Free Wireless Router
I signed up on Monday for Virgin Broadband (8mb/unlimited) and Anytime free calls (01 and 02 numbers) for £19.99 and got a free wireless router. There was a choice of that or a TV. As I am not in a cable area, I think it's probably the best deal for me.
